Will Switching From a 15x5 to a 15x6 Trailer Wheel Increase Stability

What are the advantages or dis-advantages of the width of the wheel being 6 inches or 5 inches in width. Currently running 5 inch thinking that the 6 may have the advantage in stability ? Clerance is not an issue! Tire is 205/75R15 D Thanks

The advantage of using a wider trailer wheel is that you can then in-turn use a larger trailer tire. The larger trailer tire will then provide more stability as you mentioned. The Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel part # AM20537 would work nicely with a 225/75-15 tire which is about a full inch wider than the 205/75-15 tire that you have now. For this, I recommend the Provider ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire part # TTWTRTM2257515D.
Please note, the Provider ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire part # TTWTRTM2257515D would still work with a 15" diameter x 5" wheel as well but there would be more contact with the road when used with a 15" diameter x 6" wheel, marginally though.
