Can I Leave Brophy Camper Scissor Steps on Trailer While Traveling
Updated 03/03/2020 | Published 03/01/2020 >
Question:
My son is constructing a mobile, portable ticket booth for his high school athletic department. Essentially, he built a ticket-booth shed secured to a Haul Master 4*8 utility trailer. We purchased the Brophy 2-step camper scissor steps to install on the rear of the trailer so that the volunteers would have a safe means to enter/exit the ticket booth. The athletic director will haul the ticket booth to the softball/baseball field on the far side of the the schools campus. Under these circumstances, can the steps remain attached to the mounting bracket, or should they still be removed before transport? Thanks and our family learned a lot from the useful videos / information on your website.

Wow, it sounds like your son is working on an interesting project. The Brophy Camper Scissor Steps part # AS02 will need to be removed from the bracket on the Haul Master 4x8 utility trailer when traveling. These steps are only to be used while your vehicle is stationary and should not be mounted permanently but they are easy to remove prior to travel. I have attached a video for your reference. We would love to see photos of the finished product as well.
