Will the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Work on a 2017 Ford F-250 with OEM Prep Package

I have a 2017 ford f250 XLT short bed diesel. Can I use this on my gooseneck ball already in my truck? Also with my truck being a short bed will this allow enough clearance? I also have bed rails? will these be a problem?

The Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # DM8550045 will work on a 2017 Ford F-250 with OEM Prep Package. That said, you will need a standard height goosneck hitch ball no taller than 5" from the base like the Curt Pop-In Ball for Factory Ford and Ram Underbed Gooseneck Hitches part # C60601.
In regards to turning clearance, you will be limited but the amount will vary by trailer. In order to find out exactly what your turning clearance will be you need to use the formula below.
(A + B) - C = Clearance
A = Distance from center of fifth wheel hitch jaw to truck cab
B = Length of pin box arm past trailer (center of pin)
C = Width of trailer divided by 2 (to get half)
