Question:

I was looking at fifth wheel hitches for my 2019 Ford F-350. It has the factory rail/puck system and I noticed that there didn't really seem to be any difference between the Q24 and Q25. Is there? And would you recommend the A25 over these for my 8 foot bed?

Realistically the Curt Q25 # C16039 fifth wheel hitches are no different and will give the same performance. Both of these hitches will fit into the puck system of your 2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty and have a 24,000 lb capacity. The head unit of the Q25 is rated for 25,000 lbs but the legs are rated for 24,000 lbs and the capacity needs to go by the lowest-rated component.

The Curt Q25 # C16039 is a solid wheel hitch and will do its job, but the better option is the Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16036. While both the Q Series and A Series have 24,000 lb capacities and a color coded indicator system that lets you know if you are ready to tow, couple, or uncouple, the A Series has a number of advantages.

The A25 # C16036 has a 2-jaw system like the Q Series but the A25's jaws are interlocking while the Q Series has jaws that do not, as you can see by the accompanying photo showing the jaw systems side-by-side. The interlocking jaws will ensure a complete 360 degree connection with your king pin.
