I have the perfect solution for you! In order to add trailer connections on to your 2020 Toyota Tacoma I recommend using the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter # 22117 which provides you with an easy to install, plug in solution to put trailer wiring on your 2020 Tacoma. Since this kit comes with a 7 way only, you'll want to replace the plug in that is included with the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow # HM40950 which will provide you with a 4 way and 7 way connector and allow you to tow a variety of different trailers.
Since you're adding a 7 way connection and may be towing a trailer with brakes, you can use the brake controller pigtail adapter included in the # 22117 to plug into the factory wiring on your Tacoma and avoid hardwiring. The included adapter is compatible with a number of brake controllers, including the Tekonsha P3 # 90195, which would be a great choice for your truck in the event that you don't already have a brake controller.
