We actually have a somewhat large selection of trailer hitches that are confirmed to fit your 2018 Dodge Journey with the AWD. I specifically recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76225 because of its hidden design and superior ground clearance.

This Class III hitch features a drop-down 2" receiver that allows the crosstube to stay completely hidden behind the bumper. This not only creates a clean, factory-like appearance but it also keeps the receiver further above the ground than the available alternatives so you won't have to worry about it or hitch-mounted accessories scrapping the pavement over dips or down steep driveways.

I have attached a couple images of the hitch installed on the 2016 model Journey just so you can see how it will look on your model. I have also attached the full installation video below that you can follow along with (the process will be identical on your 2018 model).

I'm not sure what you plan on using the hitch for but if you will be towing a trailer you will also need to add a wiring harness. For this I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118536 if you have LED tail lights or the Tekonsha T-One # 118567 if you have incandescents. Both custom options will plug into existing ports behind tail lights and receive power via the hot lead that you will run up to the vehicle's battery. This will provide you with a 4-Way connector to connect with and power a trailer's basic signal lights.
