Availability of Trailer Hitch for 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback with Center Exhaust

Question:
I’m wondering if anyone has been able to install a hitch on a civic hatchback with center exhaust? I am looking to buy one and realized the center exhaust seems to be an issue so can it still be done somehow? Please let me know thanks

While none of the custom trailer hitches are able to fit directly to your 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback with the center exhaust, if you check out the attached photo sent in by a customer you can see that they were able to get the 1-1/4" Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C92UR to fit on their 2018 Honda Civic Si with the center exhaust. In order to get the receiver to fit with the exhaust they had to cut off the exhaust and rebuild it.
So you can get a trailer hitch to fit, you'll just have to modify the exhaust to do so. I have attached an installation video of this hitch on a 2019 Honda Civic so you can get an idea of how the hitch itself installs. The vehicle in the video has the dual exhaust so just note that the exhaust part will be different.
If you do decide to modify your exhaust just let me know what you plan on using the trailer hitch for and I can make additional recommendations as necessary.

I have a similar situation with my 2021 Sport Hatchback. However, I’m in the process of fabricating a new exhaust for it. That said, is it possible to find out the receiver dimensions so I can ensure adequate spacing between the exhaust tips, as well as factor in for the maximum diameter I can use?
