Tow bars like Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-520 are designed to fit specific base plates. If you are asking if a base plate for a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara will fit a Suzuki 2005 Grand Vitara then they are most likely not compatible because the 2006 Grand Vitara is a part of the third generation of this vehicle. However, if you can provide me with the information about which base plate you are trying to use I can look into this further.
Otherwise I recommend to use the Roadmaster Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms part # 1011-5 for the 2005 Suzuki Grand Vitara with the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-520. You will also need safety cables, tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system and possibly a high low adapter so please let me know if you are missing these components and I can recommend more parts.
