Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a brief look at this Blue Ox replacement RF controller. This is going to replace the RF controller for your Blue Ox Patriot supplemental braking system. And on your screen, I am including the item numbers of the systems that this is going to work with. This is going to work with the Patriot II and the Patriot 3.
And this is the replacement from Blue Ox so this is going to be just like the original that you are needing to replace. Whether you happened to misplace it or it became damaged, this is going to work just like your original and it's gonna work with the Patriot II and the Patriot 3. December 30,2024 the product broke and ped our tow vehicle on the on ramp of I25. This caused damage to our truck and Motorhome. Before this it was a great product, we towed from Cheyenne Wy to Melbourne Beach Fl and home with out a problem. Thank you Jeff
If possible it works better than the new one did. Shipping from etrailer was surprisingly fast. I'm very pleased with this transaction.

Product arrived perfectly in-tact. Would be helpful if the linked video explained how to pair the new controller with my existing brake. I was able to figure it out.

The brake system I bought didn’t come with a RF controller so I purchased this one from trailer. It is so nice to be able to control and adjust the brake unit remotely. Works as expected with no issues. Using on a 30’ Jayco motorhome pulling our 4 door Jeep.
Needs brighter and larger screen. Make it older driver friendly.

I very much like the Patriot 3 Flat Tow system. This is a replacement part for one that was stolen when our MH was broken into.
Works most of the time but all too frequently will lose contact with braking unit. It usually will reestablish contact within a minute or so but it does not inspire confidence in the system.

Frankly this product has not been what I had hoped. In addition to frequently losing contact with the braking unit it will not provide braking assistance when really needed. I have checked and adjusted every aspect of the system and still I end up braking my toad with the RV brakes only. Its not clear to me whether its the controller or the braking unit that is at fault but the effectiveness of the total system is less than satisfactory.

ordered the replacement RF controller because the original for my Patriot 3 brake system had gone missing and we were planning a trip. We paid extra for 1 day shipping but because of flooding in Kentucky shipper couldn't deliver on time. Contacted etrailer and they refunded express shipping fee immediately. The RF controller worked perfectly and enabled us to tow our jeep behind our RV using the Patriot 3 braking system

Love the product. Very thankful this product was still available to replace my original. Four Stars instead of Five because there were no written instructions for set up.
Works flawlessly, after original controller started dropping signal for some reason after years in service.
Excellent service, fast shipping
It worked great. My last one came with a rubber stand, since this one didn't, I used an old GPS windshield mount and tie wrapped it to it. necessity is the mother.
