Will the ST70RB and the STL72RB Both Fit on the Same Sized Light Housing?

Question:

I have a tail light that says Trailer Lite Model 60, 60283 on it. I was told that the stl72rb would be compatible, but it looks much different and I only need one. So, would the st70rb also be compatible? Thank you.

To answer your question, both of the # ST70RB and the # STL72RB are 6-1/2" long x 2-1/4" wide x 2-3/8" deep lights; the main difference is that one is an LED light while the other is an incandescent. I was able to find some information on your TruckLite 60283 light and the best match to replace that light is the # ST70RB , since your trailer light system is wired for incandescent lights.

If you wanted to switch both lights over to LED, you would use # STL72RB but you would likely need to add load resistors like the # DI34ZR since your trailer is currently wired for incandescent lights.
