Replacing 5-Way on Trailer that Has 8 Wires

Looks for 5 pin boat trailer harness with 8 wires part #53108c

A standard 5-way like the part # HM47910 would work great to replace what you have. You'd just run all of the white wires that you have (all three) to the single white wire of this connector, both the brown wires to the single brown of the connector, and then match the rest of the wires by color and you'd be set.

@Nathan What doesn't work? The way I recommended wiring in the 4-way or something different?

@JamesonC Thanks for getting back to me. I had the exact wiring and I can't find an eight wire cable so I saw your post and tried your wiring and it didn't work at all. I have been trying different wires and found that one of the browns go with a yellow and a green. but I still cant get my running lights to work at the same time

@Nathan Do you have a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 ? I would use it to test all of the circuits to make sure the voltage is getting to them. If you have a brown and yellow and a brown and green that is the running light circuit ran for both sides of the trailer. If needed you can run all of the wishboned circuits to a single wire and it will still work too.
