Will the Yakima EasyRider Double Decker Trailer Work With a Tepui Tent Kukenam Sky Tent

Question:

Hello, I have a tepui Kukenam 3 person RTT and I am looking to put it on a utility trailer. I have a couple questions. First, would a subaru forester be able to tow this trailer with a towing capacity of 1000 lbs without trailer brakes. Second, are you able to put a cargo rack on the bottom load bearing area and have a RTT on Top? Third, would the tepui tent fit on this trailer?

Yes, a 2009 Subaru Forester can tow the Yakima EasyRider Double Decker Trailer part # Y08129 without issue as it is very lightweight, only 175 lbs which then leaves you with plenty of capacity for your tent and other cargo. In regards to loading, both the upper and lower deck can be used so there would be no issue using a cargo basket/tray on the lower deck and a roof top tent on the upper deck. In fact, when Yakima presented the trailer to us that is that exact same configuration they had at the time. The Tepui Tent Kukenam Sky 3 Tent mounts to aftermarket crossbars so there would be no fit issue with the Yakima EasyRider Double Decker Trailer and it will work just fine.
