The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number UCL55CB. This is the Optronics Clear LED Round Utility Light. It's going to feature a clear lens with white LEDs. The lens and the housing base is going to be made from a polycarbonate material, so it's going to be very strong and durable. It's going to contain a three LED design. LEDs are going to make great replacements for incandescent light. They're going to burn brighter, they're going to last much longer, and they're going to be much more efficient.
You don't have to worry about replacing the bulbs and you don't have to worry about the brittle filaments. This is going to be a flush mount design with a mounting grommet, or a mounting bracket. Those items are sold separately. This light is going to be sonically sealed, so it's going to have waterproof design. You can see the two prongs here on the backside, so it's going to accept the industry standard two-prong plug. That's also sold separately.
All these items can be found right here on our website. Power draw on this unit is 0.047 amps at 12.8 volts. If we take a look at the diameter of the light, it's going to measure 2" in diameter. The overall thickness including the plug at the back is going to give us a depth of 1". If we just measure the thickness of the lens, that's going to give us a measurement of 3/4". Optronics is going to put a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. We're going to go and hook it up to our external power source, that way you can see what it looks like with power running to it.
I have a two-prong plug here today. We're simply going to connect it here at the connection point on the back of the housing. We're going to push it all the way in until it gets seated correctly. It's going to create a nice, tight seal. Again, this light's going to contain three LEDs, clear lens with white LEDs. The multi-diode design is really going to optimize our live output.
It's going to allow a lot of light to come through. It's going to send out a really nice, strong, consistent LED signal. That's going to do it for our review of part number UCL55CB. This is the Optronics Clear LED Round Utility Light. .

These I think are going to work awesome. Haven't tested it in the water yet, but as far as brightness these will light up the darkest boat ramp. Installed on the back of boat trailer for night time launch/load, and wired into my reverse lights. Highly recommend if your looking for a great backup light.
Although labeled as a utility light, I mounted it on the rear quarter panel of our cube truck on both left and right sides to illuminate the side or rear tire area that the two back up lights could not reach. The design was exactly what we were looking for as it was a surface mounted light with only a small 1 inch hole that needed to be drilled dead center for wire placement. We used some three-quarter inch by number eight panhead stainless screws and soldered connections with heat shrink tubing to complete the installation. Ordering was easy and shipping was lightning quick. Thank you very much!
These illuminate adequately for what I purchased them for. Brighter would be better but they help take some of the guesswork out of backing up in the dark. I’d say they light up as well as my truck’s reverse lights. These are mounted on our 20’ boat trailer.

After a long while of trying to find a comparable replacement on that A site, I found etrailer.com. They had an exact match to the light that was originally on my trailer. The installation was simple and now I have two matching lights again and one neither is flooded with water.
I attached two of these clear utility lights to each aft side of my boat trailer. They are wired to the backup lights on the truck. This gives me excellent lighting when backing down my curving driveway. Clear utility lights are much brighter than regular backup lights and allow me to see the driveway even on the darkest nights.

The product works, but is not the same size as the 2' bulb type that I was going to replace with these so I either need to find slightly larger ones or perhaps the rubber that I did not order will fill the hole. More research needed.
Lights work as expected. Customer Service is the Bomb!

Still Works-No returns
Theses were replacement lights for an entertainment center due to some of the lights in each unit were burned out. These were different only by the number of actual lights in the units. Physical size , etc was the same. Ordering was very easy and delivery was very quick. Installation was a snap since I already had the grommets; simply unplug the old ones & plug-in the new ones. They look & work great.
