How To Use The Thule Accutight Tool

Question:

I have recently acquired a Thule rack 480R with aero bars. I have the correct fit kit,also. Can you explain the use of the acutight tool? This tool has green inner sleeve and gray external cover. How do you know the correct tightness. This tool does not ratchet. Something about aligning with notches? Help me to understand?

At the start to prepare the foot packs, use the Acutight tool # 752-2352-002 by inserting the tool past the rounded tip to engage the bolt and loosen the bolt on each foot until it stops. Once you've got the foot packs and pads mounted and measured for appropriate crossbar spread per the instructions, you will again use the Acutight tool to tighten your rack feet.

Thule says to tighten all 4 feet equally with the Acutight tool. The green torque indicator must be moving on turn to insure proper torque. The foot is tight when the green arrow and grey notches line up per the included instructions diagram.
