Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a real quick look at this Thule Replacement AcuTight Tensioning Tool. This is going to replace the AcuTight tool for your Rapid Traverse Foot Pack and for your reference, I do have our item number for that foot pack on your screen. And this is directly from Thule so you can have the confidence that this is going to work for your Rapid Traverse Foot Pack. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. This is going to be just like the one you are needing to replace and you are going to receive one of these tensioning tools. Well, that's going to complete our real quick look today.

The tool head is of poor quality. It came away from the tool the very first time I tried taking the rack off my vehicle. The tool works fine and well. I will have a welder well a metal T head to the tool so it can take the strain - torque required to tighten and loosen.
It's the exact tool I needed only thing I wish is that the shipping didn't jump the price up to $70 at the ends but I needed it and wasn't going to pay $200 for new mounts for my racks at my local shop
Worked as intended. Happy with this. Also wasn't able to find this anywhere else online, so happy that etailer had this.
I had to remove my Thule roof bars after having them for 4 years, because I was involved in a minor accident which broke my Thule cargo box along with front Thule roof bars.
Luckily had Thule locks saved with me.

I like Thule Racks. I remove them after paddling because I have a gas saving hybrid vehicle and the racks burn gas; So they go on and off my car frequently. Two keys came with the original rack set. It seemed simpler to have a key in each foot, and it is.

Perfect. Makes my life easy every time I load my kayak. Thule provides only 1 key per roof top bar. Before buying new keys I had to walk around the car carrying a key to adjust each end. I now keep the keys set to tighten with 5 or less turns. I go to each end of the bar once, tighten, and I am done.
