Question:
Trying to purchase the evo square bar to go on a ARE truck topper on a 2017 F250. I already have the podium mounts but need to know which bar length to order. My mounting tracks on the truck topper are 42 inches center to center. How long are the cuttout channels on the bottom of the evo square bar. Im thinking the solid portion of the bar on the bottom needs to be less than 42 inches. Probably less than 40.

The Thule Evo Square bar is an excellent option with your ARE truck topper. Since the cross bar spread is 42" from post to post you are good to go with the Thule 47" # TH712200, the Thule 50" # TH712300, or the Thule 53" TH712400 that feature a 9-3/4" channel opening at the end of the bars to attach to your podium mounts.
Since you are using square bars you may want the Thule AirScreen Fairing # TH82WV to cut down on wind drag and noise.
I included a video review of the Thule Evo Square bars for reference.
