Recommended Camera System for Pre-Wired 2020 Winnebago Minnie Plus

Question:

I am picking up 2020 Winnebago Minnie plus TT 30RLSS tomorrow. It is prewired for a camera and I need assistance on the best option for me. I do have experience backing up lengthy trailers but this one is a bit longer and for the most part I will be setting up camp alone. So priority for me is backing up but I may also be interested in one that if needed I can quickly monitor behind me. II prefer not to deal with any wiring in my new unit if a monitoring set up would require that. Thanks in advance, and look forward to the experts opinion of which camera would best suit me. Have a great day

Your 2020 Winnebago Minnie is pre-wired for a Voyager Camera System and I specifically recommend the Voyager WiSight Wireless RV Backup Camera # WVHS541.

This system features a 5.6" full color LED monitor for a clear vision of what's behind you and a waterproof camera with 14 integrated LED lights for night time vision. This will plug right into the pre-wired bracket on your Winnebago but it's going depend on exactly how yours is set up as to whether it will function only as a reverse camera or as constant observation.

I have reached out to trailer/RV manufacturers before to try and get a clear answer on how the factory camera preps are wired and have been told it can be either (even within the same trailer/RV sub-model line) depending on what specific packages were chosen or not chosen from the factory. What I recommend doing is calling the dealer or Winnebago directly (with your VIN) to see how exactly it's wired, as they should definitely have this information.

If it's ready to be used as a backup system then this could still be wired for observation by connecting it to the running lights circuit instead, but as you mentioned it would require a bit or hardwiring.
