Question:
When opening door on my 2005 HR Endeavor the steps go out but the motor continues running for a few seconds. Also, I can no longer retract the steps with the rocker switch inside coach.

Sounds like the module of your Coach Steps is having problems and is in need of replacement based on the symptoms you described. This is a common problem for the steps around the age of yours. Based on the picture you submitted we can tell that the correct replacement module is the part # LC301702.
