Hi there, I'm Michael with ettrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Lippert replacement socket head cap screw. This is going to replace one socket head cap screw for your RV coach step assembly. Now this is gonna work with most manual and electric step assemblies. I'll give you a few measurements here to make sure that it's gonna fit for you. So you can see this is right at 2 1/2 inches in our shoulder length there.
It is a overall about 5/8 of an inch in diameter, and our thread size is 13 by 1/2 inch. So if you are needing to replace one socket head camp screw for your RV coach step assembly, this is gonna do a great job for you. That completes our look for today. The Step Shaft bolt has not failed, yet, after a year of regular usage. This request encourages me to remove the bolt and inspect the bolt for wear or cracks.
Took my steps apart and stripped and painted them. Replaced the screw that was broken. My steps work perfectly.

Simple part that does go bad and I was amazed etrailer had it especially after manufacture said the part was not available.
Easy to replace with some mechanical know how and is still working flawlessly.
This is the second time using etrailer for parts. When ordering the part(s), I supplied my rv information and included a photo of the old part. Soon after the order was placed I received a confirmation email that I ordered the correct part nd it was shipped. To be delivered 5-7. I received it in 3 days. Cap screw was exactly like the old one. It was a perfect fit.

Only arrived today, but we have fitted it into the step assembly. Seems good and fitted well. Will probably order another to keep as a spare as standard delivery time was long. Not suppliers fault, they got it on its way surprisingly quickly. It was sent USPS/UPS from America to Canada.
Just received the box looks exactly like what I needed. Got it fairly timely manner considering I used the cheapest manner of shipping.

Same bolt as factory, did not install do to steps being recalled and was replaced by factory parts. Now have a spare bolt to keep in camper.

The bolt worked good, the job to replace it was kinda hard but I learned to let the step become fully in place before to step in the RV.
