Question:
Is there an adapter that i can plug into the 4 wire port on my 2013 ford escape that will fool it into thinking that all of the lights on the trailer are incandescent? Currently i have a 4 pin to 7 pin gender changer to 7 pin with resistors to 4 pin. This worked for about a year, but just quit. I would like to get an adaptor cable with the resistors in it that will simply connect to the 4 pin on the ford, and the 4 pin harness on the trailer led lights totally to solve this hyper-flash issue. I am not able to re-wire the trailer - it was wired from the factory this way, so my only alternate is to fix the harness. the above adapter set is kludgy and expensive, but did work. Please advise

You have a couple of options to make your trailer with LED lights work with your Ford Escape, though I was a bit confused by what you said you have now: "a 4 pin to 7 pin gender changer to 7 pin with resistors to 4 pin." Although you mentioned you had a 4-way on each, it sounds like you did have a 7-way (or adapter) on your Ford Escape and trailer? If so, I recommend keeping that and adding the Trailer Connector Adapter w/ Lamp-Out Sensor Bypass - 7-Way RV to 7-Way RV - Vehicle End # 20142. The reason is there is not an adapter that will connect to both the 4-way on your Ford and the 4-way on your trailer.
If not you are going to need to install the Diamond LED Light Bulb Load-Resistors # DI34ZR and wire them in line with the trailer wire circuits that you are having trouble with.
I have added a link to a video review of the adapter for you to check out.
