I took a look at the online owner's manual for your 2018 Toyota Corolla and it simply states that Toyota "does not recommend" towing a trailer so they do not give any type of towing capacity. The only thing they state is that a load from a trailer needs to be factored into the cargo capacity. On page 163 of the online manual they explain how to determine the cargo capacity, so you will need to refer to this in order to determine your Corolla's capacity (the manual does not give specific numbers).
If you decide to tow with your 2018 Toyota Corolla you will need a trailer hitch, wiring harness, ball mount and hitch ball, and the hitch and harness are designed to fit your specific vehicle so you will need the following parts:
- Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24913
- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118405
- Draw-Tite Ball Mount # 3593
- 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19256 or 2" Hitch Ball # 19258 (depending on the size of your trailer's coupler)
I have added links to video installs of the hitch and wiring harness on a Corolla for you to take a look at as well.
