Question:
Hi I have a 6 x 12 v nose cargo trailer. Single axle. I am looking for a better weight distributor and sway control as it sways a little going down the road and even know my truck does pull the weight ok, the trailer pulls the back of the vehicle down therefore the weight is not as distributed as I want. Any suggests?

I recommend going with the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution with Sway Control System (see part numbers below). This is a dual-cam sway control system that's going to help eliminate swaying before it begins as well as helping distribute the weight of your trailer evenly between all of the axles involved in the towing setup. This weight distribution system also won't need to be disengaged when backing up, for added convenience of use.
You'll need to know your trailer's tongue weight- plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle- in order to determine which system is going to work best for you, but you can check out your options with their corresponding part numbers here:
Reese Strait-Line: max 600lb tongue weight/ 10000lb towing capacity # RP66082
Reese Strait-Line: max 800lb tongue weight/ 8000lb towing capacity # RP66083
Reese Strait-Line: max 1200lb tongue weight/ 12000lb towing capacity # RP66084
Reese Strait-Line: max 1500lb tongue weight/ 15000lb towing capacity # RP66130
Ideally you're going to want your overall tongue weight to fall in the middle of the range of tongue weight ratings for the weight distribution system.
Because of the shape of the frame on a V-nose trailer you will also need to add bolt on chain hangers # RP58305 which bolt on to your frame and will provide a location to hang the chains for the spring bars on the Strait-Line system.
Since these systems do not come with a hitch ball, you'll need to also purchase a 2" hitch ball with a 1-1/4" diameter shank similar to Curt # A-90 .
