Hey Matt, we have what you need but the part # ACM150 only comes with the top portion of the system so it would not be correct. You'd instead want the part # ADV32SR if you have a ductless system or the part # ADV92SR if you have a ducted system and want a wall thermostat. Do you have a ducted setup?

Hello, I installed yesterday and had an issue. Context: replaced a 2005 dometic AC after hooking all the wires up. I had one extra wire from your Advent AC, labeled :" to furnace, 12v dc". I dont know where it hooks to my rv. I tried to start up the AC, but nothing happened, except the furnace fan cycled on for a minute. I dont use the furnace, so not worried about it. but I dont know if it has to be hooked up for the AC to work. I did get an E5 error message on the thermostat: "communication defect with t-stat and relay kit"--solution is to check wire connection at t-stat and relay kit. I am fairly confident I wired the four t-stat connections correctly, they were labeled on both the wires and the t-stat. There is no heat strip, so even though the wiring harness is provided, I left it loose, as there is nowhere to plug that in. The main wiring harness plugged in place. The freeze sensor plugged in and placed in the coil. However, there were three other wires, labled power (red), which I hooked up to red wire in my rv. A black wire wire labled ground, which I hooked to a white wire in from my rv, and then there is the red/white wire labledl to furnace 12v dc, which I didnt hook to anything. Not sure where it goes. Also, when connecting the wires to the T-stat, the terminal bended and flexed in a manner that worries, me, I wonder if the connection to the curcuit board of the t-stat was broken. I may need a new t-stat? Also, when hooking up the ACMSCKIT, I followed the directions. however, there are two black wires, and the directions do not say which wire goes on the HERM terminal, and which goes on the COMMON terminal. The wires, while both black, do have different terminal connections. Are the two wires interchangeable?

@Matt To answer your last question first it doesn't matter which wire goes the HERM terminal and the COMMON terminal. Those can be interchanged. I would investigate the thermostat wiring connections since you said things looked like they flexed too much.

I purchased the ACRDTH25 (ADV92SR) from your company. I've removed the old Dometic Quiet Cool AC and now have the new Advent AC unit installed and operating correctly. It appears the new Advent AC unit and its associated thermostat will not hook up to and operate my old furnace, which is an Atwood hydro flame 8500-IV series. The furnace used to connect directly to the board inside the original dometic Quiet Cool that I just removed. Is there a way to connect my Atwood furnace to this new system? Or would I be better off just getting a separate thermostat to control the furnace, such that I'd have two thermostats, one for the new Advent AC unit and another one for the old Atwood furnace?

@ChrisG The thermostat that came with the part # ADV92SR does have furnace controls built into it so you should be able to just use it. You need to attach the THERM wire on your furnace to the brown/white wire on the thermostat. The THERM+ wire on your furnace can then be capped. There are no other connections needed for the thermostat to control the furnace. Please note, we can't tell you exactly what color wire the THERM and THERM+ circuits are on your furnace so id they are not labeled you'll need to look these up in your furnace's owner's manual.
