Recommended Trailer Hitch for Shuttle Bus On Ford E-350 Chassis

Question:

I have a 2009 E350 shuttle bus conversion, I am looking for a Class V hitch that can mount to the twin I beams. Any recommendations? I have the v10 BTW. Thanks in advance.

The best option I have for you to add a trailer hitch to your shuttle bus is with the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 41990-16 which has the Class V rating that you are after. In regards to installation, this will be up to you as it is a universal trailer hitch and there is not a custom fit one available for your application.

So long as your frame rails do not sit more than 44" apart inside to inside the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver will work for you. I recommend you weld a plate to the inside of the i-beam to create a flat surface and then cut/modify the brackets to get the height that you need.
