Could Trailer Suspension Be Lowered by Lowering Height of Equalizer

Question:
Can I change out the equalizer to a straight to lower my trailer?

Yes, if you lowered the height of your trailer's equalizer the height of the trailer would change. That said this is not the best solution as the outside hangers on the trailer suspension are at a height is designed to allow the leaf spring to sit level. If you change the equalizer height drastically without changing the hanger heights too you'll end up with springs that won't sit level.
A better option would be to cut the hangers off and go with ones shorter than what you have so that you can lower the trailer without having the springs sit unlevel. I attached a link to a page that has all of the hangers we offer for you to check out as well.
