Question:
Hi, Im looking at putting this front hitch on the front of my 2018 Chevy 3500 HD, which is rated for 1000 pounds of vertical load/tongue weight: 306-X7906 Id like to bring along a KTM 790 Adventure R while towing a fifth wheel RV, and this is going to weigh upwards of 500 pounds in real-world scenarios. If I extrapolate what the capacity would be with 1000 pounds of tongue weight available, I have a lot to spare. I just wanted to verify that what you listed wasnt the maximum and that I may be getting into trouble. Aside from that, do you have any other thoughts/concerns/recommendations on what Im proposing? Thanks,

The 1,000 lb vertical load (or tongue weight) rating for the EcoHitch Invisi Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7906 is that max amount of weight that this unit can handle so since your KTM 790 Adventure R only weighs 500 lbs this is an excellent choice. The only other thing to check is the weight rating for your 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500 HD. You can contact your nearest Chevy dealer to ensure that this is safe.
We have two carriers that are capable of handling 500 lbs, the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier # UF48-979033 or the etrailer Motorcycle Carrier. I have attached video reviews of both. Since 500 lbs is the max capacity you may want to find ways to limit the weight a little bit like not topping off the fuel.
I do recommend using an anti-rattle locking hitch pin like the part # 63232 along with a cable lock # e98891 and ratcheting straps like part # 34414.
Let me know if you have any other questions and I'd be happy to address them!
