Expert Reply:
When trimming the Ladder Support Peg # 8531-B for your Stromberg Carlson RV Ladder # LA-401BA you will first take the cap off the end that attaches to the ladder. With the cap off simply push that star shaped nut further down into the tube before cutting it to your desired length. This will eliminate the hassle of actually removing the nut having to install it back into place.
