Insulator For MaxxAir Mini Trailer Roof Vent

Question:

When these are installed, are the light blocking pads/cushions used in normal 14inch vents still able to be used?

The insulators for standard 14x14 roof vents like part # CAM45192 do not fit into the vent opening of the MaxxAir Mini Roof Vent part # MA00-03700. The actual vent opening of the MaxxAir is 10-1/2" so the 14 inch insulator is not going to fit into the opening. The MaxxAir mini Roof Vent fits roofs that are 1" to 4-1/2" thick.

I recommend Camco retractable shade part # CAM42913. The shade attaches to the garnish of the roof vent and extends to 19 inches long to block the light when you are trying to sleep and deflects heat to keep the RV cooler.
