The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # CU64FR and the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76182 will have a concealed look therefore only the receiver tube opening will be shown once installed. In regards to the heat shield, this must be trimmed with either option because they install in the same spot on the frame. I have attached a photo that shows how much you will need to trim but this is a very minor alternation and not anything you should be worried about as it will have no affect on the vehicle.
In regards to ground clearance, this will again be pretty much the same between them, around 16" from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver tube. Therefore, the main takeaway will be in regards to cost and country of origin. The Curt hitch is made in the USA and the Draw-Tite hitch is made in Mexico which the price reflects. The powder coating on the Curt hitch is also a bit more durable than that of the Draw-Tite hitch.
