Question:

Hi, I see that this hub set does not come with any washers. Do I need to purchase washers separately to use this set or are they not needed? If separate washers are needed, what washers would be recommended. Thanks in advance!

You are correct that the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000 lb Axles # AKIHUB-440-2-2K does not come with washers, though we do have exactly what you need, the Washer For 1" Spindle # SW1000. For a nut you can use Trailer Spindle Nut 1" # 165686 and for a cotter pin you can use Cotter Pin # 165649.

To grease the bearings I highly recommend using the LubriMatic Wheel Bearing Grease # L11465; additionally, the LubriMatic Deluxe Bearing Packer # L70025 will help make the job much easier.
