What is the Difference Between the Reese Towpower 7028700 and the Curt Reducer C45405

have a reese 7028700- lt sleeve is it the same as C45405 Curt?

The biggest difference between the Reese Towpower 7028700 and the Curt Reducer Sleeve # C45405 is that the Curt can be used with a weight distribution system while the Towpower comes with a sticker that says it isn't rated for weight distribution. Essentially, they do the same thing (reduce a 2-1/2" receiver opening to a 2") but when we have spoken with Horizon Global in the past they weren't able to confirm why the Towpower was not rated for weight distribution. If you are planning on using it for a weight distribution application though I highly recommend using the Curt since it is rated it for that purpose.
