Today we're going to take a look at the Custer LED amber side marker or clearance trailer light. Now this is a nice rectangular trailer light that can serve as either a clearance or side marker light. It is P2 rated, so it does produce a 90-degree beam pattern, and it is DOT, department of transportation, compliant. This light does use LEDs. They make great replacements for incandescent lights. They'll last about 50 times longer.
They're more efficient because they'll provide brighter light with less power output and, of course, no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments that are going to break. It's a nice durable polycarbonate housing and lens. And if you notice, the lens is amber color over three white LEDs. This is compatible with the 12-volt DC systems.There's a couple of ways you can mount this. You can surface mount this light with a snap and bracket, which we do sell separately on our website.
It's part number G26B-C. And you can also recess mount this with a rubber grommet, which we sell separately. Part number G26G. And both those items are listed on this product page as a related product. And if you look on the back, you'll see the two connections there.
It accepts the industry standard two-prong plug, part number GP-1.So what I'm going to do now is we're going to hook this up to some 12-volt power and then turn off the lights just to show you how bright it is. So I'll first go ahead and take one of them. We'll hook it up, and we'll go ahead and hook the other one up. And with both of those hooked up, I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. And here you can see the three LEDs gives you a very bright light for a small light that it is.
Then we'll go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights, and we'll disconnect it.But that should do it for the review on the Custer LED amber side marker or clearance trailer light.
