Question:
I have a Maxxair fan installed on 2013 Montana 5th wheel. The vent cover does not close tight and when the wind blows the cover lifts. It has a control screwed to the wall that turns fan off/on and changes fan speeds. Every thing works except the cover not closing tight. The black knob turns but not tight enough. you can turn knob but it still doesnt close tight. I think it has 10 speeds and moisture control. I cannot find any literature on fan and do not see any part number on fan. Can you recommend a replacement part with this information.

It sounds like you have the MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus model. If that is the case then you will need to replace the operator mechanism as that is what is causing your lid to not stay closed while driving. For replacement, we have the Replacement Operator Mechanism part # MA10-20281K-1AF if you have a powered lift vent or part # MA10-20281K-3CF if you have a manual lift vent.
