Compatibility of Rhino Rack Fishing Rod Carrier Installed on 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser for Surf Rods

Question:

The factory installed roof racks are not straight across but arched. Also the adjustable roof racks when extended follow the curvature of the roof. I will be using this rack to transport 13 foot surf rods that will be broken down into two 6.5 foot sections. Will I have a problem ???????

Thanks for the photo for clarity. The Rhino-Rack Fishing Rod Carrier - Locking - 8 Fishing Rods # RR574F won't have any issue with the curved crossbars. The 6.5 foot sections of the 13 foot surf rods should work very well for this application.

With the curve of the roof the reel will be the only issue and you can have that rest on top instead of underneath if desired. Obviously gravity will have an impact on that, so you will need to plan accordingly.
