A large push button on the side of each unit makes it easy to open the carrier. The spring-loaded arms pop open once the button is engaged and remain elevated while you're loading your rods. When you're ready to head out, just push the arm down until it snaps into place.

The carrier comes equipped with Rhino-Rack Masterkey lock cores to deter theft and provide peace of mind if you make a pit stop or park overnight during your fishing trip. If you have other Rhino-Rack gear and want everything keyed-alike, you can swap out (sold separately) the lock cores to match.
