Question:
I have a very old enclosed 7x14 trailer that I would like to update to newer hub and wheel combo. It has a 3500lb 4 inch axle with the 9.44 wheel combo right now. My inner bearing is a LM48548 and my outer is a L44649. Current setup has brakes but I could go with idler hubs if that would work. Do you have a hub kit that could accommodate this?

Since you have a very old enclosed trailer there are bound to be some parts that need upgrading and the issue here is that your inner bearing # LM48548 is for agricultural hubs and there isn't a replacement hub we carry that you will be able to use.
What I recommend doing in order to convert your trailer to find parts much easier is to have your spindle cut off and have a new one welded on by a professional welder. For a 3,500 lb axle you can use the EZ Lube Spindle # TRU74FR and add the etrailer Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K which gives you a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern so you can add a wheel and tire combo like the Karrier # AM32156.
I have added a link to our entire selection of wheel and tire combos with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern for you to check out.
You may also be at the point where replacing your entire axle is necessary. In order to choose the correct replacement axle for your trailer you will need to know the dimensions of your current axle's hub face to hub face and spring center to spring center; the other thing you need to know is the weight capacity of the axle you need, which should match or exceed the GVWR of your trailer.
For example the Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes # e43SR has a 3,500 lb capacity and measures 89 inches from hub face to hub face and 74 inches from spring center to spring center; it also has hubs with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern.
You do have another option, the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System, which are simply bolted or welded so you do not have to worry about finding an axle that meets any specific measurements such as the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # A35RS545.
