Curt T-Connector Harness C55451 On 2006 Grand Cherokee Causes All Tail Lights To Flash
Updated 04/16/2019 | Published 04/14/2019 >
Question:
I recently install this harness in my 2006 Grand Cherokee. I also installed 2 relays that were not in my Jeep since it didnt have the tow package. Also checked fuses 9, 19, and 21 and all looked good. My issue is now that I installed said harness everything looks normal until I use my right blinker/signal. All light on rear of Jeep flash like my hazards are on. No trailer hooked up yet.

I am sorry to hear about the issues you are having with the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C55451. This harness actually ties in behind the tail lights on your 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee so there will be no additional fuses or relays needed. I recommend that you remove the fuses and relays that you installed. If you are still having issues once this is done then you will first want to find a new ground, bare metal on the frame.
I would then make sure you have attached the connectors to the proper side (yellow for driver and green for passenger) and then begin to test the pins inside the 4-way with a test light. If you have a pulsing signal on any other pin but the right stop/turn one when the right turn signal is applied then there would appear to be damage inside the converter box which means the unit would need to be replaced.
Please let me know if you still need help once the above is completed.
