What is Most Common 10 inch Diameter Trailer Brake Assembly Capacity

Question:
How can I find out whether my trailer has a 3500 or a 3750 pound axle rating? Does it matter if I use a higher rated brake shoe set? I have a Venture Trailer with 10 inch drums.

In the 10 inch brake size the most popular axle capacity is 3,500 lb. I'd be surprised if you had a higher or lower capacity than that but typically you can find the axle capacity either listed on the VIN plate of the trailer or even on the axle itself.
A slightly higher capacity at 3,750 lbs for the assemblies wouldn't make a noticeable difference though so the part # T4423500-400 would work.
