If you have a 2016 Buick Enclave then there should be a tow plug that will allow you to connect a 4-way trailer connector without having to tie in behind the taillights or splice into any wires. This plug should be present whether or not you have the factory tow package however, if you don't have the factory tow package then you will need to install the fuses and relays that come with the kit. I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56245.
If you take a look at the 0:45 mark in the attached install video you will see the tow plug that you will need to find in order to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness. If for some reason you do not have this then your only other option is to hardwire for which I recommend using the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C59236 as they do not make a trailer wiring harness that ties in behind the taillights for your vehicle.
Please note that if your boat trailers come with surge brakes you may need a 5-way trailer connector and if that is the case you can use the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter part # C57187.
