Installation of Curt Hitch C13002 on 2011 Cadillac SRX

Question:

I have seen aftermarket center piece knockouts for covering the hitch after install. Will these work with this brand hitch instead of cutting the oem knockout ?

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13002 will install on the 2011 Cadillac SRX such that the end of the receiver tube will extend out past the location of the OEM knock-out panel. This is why that panel must be notched. If you refer to the linked image taken from our install video you'll see the receiver tube position relative to this panel.
