Question:
I have a Remco drive axle disconnect, Blue Ox tow equipment automatic 4WD. I pull in 2WH with tranny in Park. I turn on key to ACC to unlock steering wheel ... hence battery drain. Is there a fuse I can pull or other option?

I spoke to my contact at Roadmaster who is considered by most to be the leader in flat-towing equipment and information. They informed me that you can prevent the battery drain issue you are having by installing a change line on your Nissan Frontier with the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles part # RM-156-25. If your motorhome doesn't have an active 12 volt pin on the 7-way then you will also need the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes part # RM-156-75. This charge line will take a small amount of current from the motorhome's battery and then use that to charge the toad's battery.
The best way to bridge the charge line from the motorhome to the toad is with the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15267 but this is not required. Please note that while the vehicle is in tow you will want to turn off the radio and all other accessories that draw power. If you want to you can remove fuses for the radio etc. but the charge line should offset any power draw that occurs.
