Question:
want to install Firestone/Ride-rite air springs on my 2008 F-450 DRW. I have located on your website part # F2446. Is there any other airspring for my make/year/mod. truck that would be rated higher stronger, tougher, more capacity et cetera? If so, please inform. Thanks very much.

In terms of air springs that are rated higher than # F2446, we do not carry a set rated higher for a 2008 Ford F-450. However, if you do not need to level the bed side to side often, which is one benefit of air springs, I would go with a Timbren system instead.
Take a look at the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, # TFRSDP. It is rated for up to 12,000 pounds which is more than twice the capacity of the air springs. The Timbren system is also low maintenance. You will not have to add or remove air to level the bed. Once installed, you are done.
This system installs on the bottom of the frame rails on the truck. You will need to check the installation instructions (linked) if you have a 5th wheel installation kit installed or plan on installing one. The 2 parts could interfere with each other.
I have also included a link to our FAQ article on Timbren systems for you.
