Question:
I have lowered gooseneck adapter about as low as it will go but I still am not level and most of the weight is riding on rear axle. I was thinking K71-385-00 may work but was reading a QandA answered by John H. mentioning about leaf spring hangers. what is your suggestions. see image

Expert Reply:
If you are using a gooseneck-to-5th-wheel hitch adapter that does not allow you the correct hitch height to keep your tandem axle horse trailer level then your options are to either install taller spring hangers on the trailer or to use an over-under kit like part # K71-385-00.
New hangers will require a skilled welder to remove the existing hangers and install new ones that are (based on your photo) about 2 to 3-inches taller. I linked our main page for hangers.
The over-under kit # K71-385-00 which fits 3-inch diameter axles or the similar kit # K71-384-00 for 2-3/8-inch axles will give you an easier installation and provide a height increase of roughly the axle diameter.
