Will T-One Connector Fit 2018 Mazda CX-9 With or Without OEM Hitch

Question:
I have a 2018 CX9 Touring with the premium package. Ive reviewed my paperwork and the Mazda website and nowhere do they talk about a Factory Tow Package as an option, other than the dealer installed hitch. As I read through the questions, it appears that around 2016 and after, they may have made the female trailer wiring connector standard. Can you verify or clarify what I can assume? Id prefer to only tear into the car once to do the install rather than having to open it up to research if I have that connector. Thank you.

According to my research, and my contact at Tekonsha, the 2016 and 2017 CX-9 models both came with the connector for the T-One # 118278 as a standard. Since your 2018 Mazda CX-9 is the same generation it would be surprising if you didn't have that connector. I did check the online version of your owner's manual and it states on page 6-58 that the #8 "Trailer Hitch" fuse is only included on some models. You may want to check the left side of your fuse block compartment to make sure that this fuse is in place otherwise the T-One likely won't be active.
Attached is an installation video for the T-One on a 2018 CX-9 that you can reference. If you decide to mount the 4-Way flat under your vehicle near the hitch receiver then you will also need the bracket # 18144. If your trailer hitch already has a mounting tab like the Draw-Tite # 76020 does then that's all you need to mount your wiring, otherwise I also recommend using a no-drill mount bracket like part # 18136 for an easy mounting solution.
I have also attached a link to our selection of ball mounts and a helpful article that can help you determine which one is the best for your application. Please be sure to follow any instructions in your owner's manual regarding to towing with your CX-9.
If the picture that you sent in is of your CX-9 then it looks like you already have OEM wiring already installed on your vehicle.
