Does your step bar mounting bracket kit attached to the frame?

The Nerf Bars that install with the hardware you referenced do attach to the frame, as you can see by the accompanying cut out of the instructions that I added.

It is important to note that the Replacement Mounting Brackets and Hardware for Westin 3" Round Nerf Bars # 23-232PK is replacement hardware for Westin Signature Series Round Nerf Bars 25-2320 (Chrome Plated Steel) and # 23-2325 (Black Powder Coated Steel), which come with everything needed for installation and only fit certain model year Dodge Ram trucks:

- 2002 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 - Regular Cab
- 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup 2500 and 3500 - Regular Cab - Pickup
- 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup 3500 - Regular Cab - Cab and Chassis
- 2003 - 2008 Dodge Ram Pickup Regular Cab
