Does the Orientation of the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller C51180 Matter
Published 01/21/2019 >
Question:
Hi, Does it matter how the controller is oriented? On my Ford Excursion, the 7 way plug exits an about a 45 degree angle from the bumper side license plate area. I also plan to use this on a motor home, and that one doecome out straight either. Thanks,

The orientation of the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 does not matter. We have tested it on vehicles with 7-way's oriented in all different directions and it has performed flawlessly. The range for this device is 50' so as long as your motorhome is not longer than this then there should not be any issues. The 12 volt circuit on the 7-way must be active for this device to work, that is all.
