Question:
I see two hitches for the 2019 Subaru Ascent. Do you recommend one over the other for either easier install or overall quality and performance? EcoHitch or Draw-Tite? Right now I will just be using it for a bike rack, so either should be good thanks.

Helpful Expert Reply:
Between the Draw-Tite hitch # 76253 and the EcoHitch # 306-X7381 that both fit your 2019 Subaru Ascent if it were my money I would get the Draw-Tite.
Both hitches will take about the same time for installation (2+ hours) but because the Draw-Tite costs much less than the EcoHitch I would go that route.
But if you prefer a USA-made hitch then the EcoHitch model is currently the only such option. And you might care to check out the two articles on hitch bike carriers that may help you in your selection.
Bike racks I can recommend with confidence include the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR hanging rack which offers a 4-bike capacity at a very friendly price and their unmatched 2-bike platform carrier, the Easy Fold # TH903202 which is ideal for heavier bikes like e-bikes. It includes locks, folds up easily for compact storage and even includes a storable loading ramp so you never have to lift the weight of your bikes. This premium carrier is packed with a range of features that make it a true standout product as shown in the included video.
