Previously I bought a Hopkins 41275 wiring kit. Before ordering, I emailed and asked Hopkins if it would fit my car, which doesnt have the factory trailer wiring. They said yes. They were wrong. I returned it and sent them pictures of the connectors I have. They must have changed from 2017. Do you have a kit that will fit my car?

The correct custom trailer wiring harness for your 2018 Chevy Equinox without the factory tow package is the Tekonsha # 118750. This will plug right into the ports you found behind the tail lights on your Equinox to provide you with a 4-Way connector to power a trailer's signal lights. I have attached an image of the connectors on this harness so you can see how they match up to the image you attached.
I have also included an installation video on your 2018 Equinox that you can use for reference.
The Hopkins harness that you mentioned does indeed only fit the Equinox up through the 2017 model year. You are correct that the wiring changed for the 2018 model.
