Question:

Hello, My question concerns item #118285 for a 2018 Equinox LT model with the 1.5L. NO tow package other when what was standard on the LT model. I recently purchased both the draw tite class III hitch and the 4 flat T1 wiring harness that plugs directly into the factory connection under the rear bumper. I have since attached all items however when I plug my trailer in I have lights on both driver and passenger sides, however only the passenger turn signal works. I know it is not the bulb on the trailer. I looked into the 2 relays that came in my package marked both 614 I attempted to place them in the K1 spot however the relay has no clip or hold to it when plugged in and becomes loose easily. Even if held in place the driver side turn signal still will not work. I am at a loss on what else to do?

If you do not have the factory tow package on your 2018 Chevrolet Equinox LT then the correct trailer wiring harness for you is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118750, not the Curt Wiring Harness part # C94FR. The Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C94FR is only for model equipped with the factory tow package. There will still be a plug for the latter harness but if you do not have the factory tow package then the circuits may not all be ran to the power distribution center (PDC) so you will need to use the one that plugs in behind the taillights.
