Will the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly AKHD-655-35-K Fit a Reliable 3,500 Lb Axle

Question:
My homemade trailer has a 3500 # axle made by Reliable axle and Trailer Supply. The wheels are from a Datson pickup with 6 holes and 5.5inch pattern. The tires are P205/75R14. Will the Dexter 84656UC3-EZ drum and hub fit? If not, do you have one that will?

The Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # AKHD-655-35-K is a fit for most 3,500 lbs axles with a L68149 (1.378" inner diameter) inner and a L44649 (1.063" inner diameter) outer bearing. It is designed for 10" diameter x 2-1/4" wide braking assemblies. In order to be certain that it will work for you, you will need to do some measuring. The first measurement you will need to take is of your existing trailer drum (see photo 1). The second set of measurements you will need to take will be of your bearings and seals (see photo 2).
If you do not have access to a digital caliper that will be needed to measure the bearings and seals then you can either read the parts numbers on them or call the trailer axle manufacturer with your serial number. I have attached a help article on measuring your bearings and seals for you as well.
